2020 Midseason All-Pickup Team

Is it me or does it seem like there have not been any great free agent pick ups? No game-saving signees? Well, we haven’t had the season-changing free agents yet, there have been plenty of good gets.

QB – Justin Herbert (Jeff)
Picked in up in week five for just $4, Herbert is chasing rookie of the year honors, especially with the stats he’s producing. He’s scored 350, 402 and 592 in his last three, which makes me wonder, will Greenblatt start him over Allen or Cam?

RB – Darrell Henderson (Rich C)
Henderson was actually taken by Calderon, but dropped him after a no-show performance in week one. Mistake. After exploding in week two, Burrier dropped $12 on the Rams back and hasn’t looked back. He’s currently the 17th rated back, despite only getting three carries in week one, thanks to a pair of 300-point games in weeks two and three.

RB – Mike Davis (Rob M)
Playing in just four and a half games, Davis has proven to be a McCaffrey clone, with 284 yards rushing and 233 receiving, catching 37 of his 41 targets. He’s also scored four times. While Masterson hasn’t won anything with Davis, the $24 he spent on CMC’s handcuff has been well worth it.

BONUS: Myles Gaskin (Rich C)
While Gaskin has put up less points so far than both Henderson and Davis, Gaskin will most likely end up the top running back free agent this year. Fact is, Henderson is still in a timeshare and Davis will go back to the bench once McCaffrey returns. Meanwhile, Gaskin seems to be the top dog in Miami. He had back-to-back 240-point games before the Fins bye-week.

WR – Rob Anderson (Robio)
Finding good wide receiver pick ups so far this season ha proven to be challenging, only because none have made any real impact. I dropped $22 for Anderson back in week three, which was probably a lot more than anybody else, but what I got was the 6th best wideout in football. He’s the one guy on this list truly chasing an All-Robio award. However, because of Ridley and Hopkins, this week will be the first time I’ve used him.

WR – Travis Fulgham (Griff)
Picked up in week six for one dollar, I believe he’s only played one game for Griff, having not even play a down for the Eagles until week four, but since he’s found his way into Doug Peterson’s rotation, he’s been a solid WR2. His worst output was 146, while he topped out in week five with 364 (on Griff’s bench).

TE – Jonnu Smith (Rich C)
Picked up in week three for seven dollars, Smith was a top-five tight end, until he started dealing with injuries. After catching at least four balls per game, along with four touchdowns through his first four games, he’s caught just one ball each in his last two games.

PK – Randy Bullock (Robio)
Picked up in week four for nothing, the Bengals kicker leads all kickers in fantasy points, averaging 125 points per game, thanks to 17 field goals and 17 extra points.

DST – Chiefs (Rich B)
Currently ranked sixth among all D’s, that’s the highest rated free agent defense. Sure, much of their points came last week when they scored 235, but it was the fourth time this season they scored at least 160 fantasy points. Not bad for a $4 get in week five.
