Below are the teams that you have had the most success beating again and again and again, plus your least favorite foe and everything else you need to know.
MOST COMMON OPPONENT
Colby Hall: In just five seasons, Michael has faced Colby 10 times. Three times CBS has matched them up twice in once season; plus they have met twice in the postseason.
TOP THREE FAVORITE FOES
#3 Robio Murray – Mike and I have faced off nine times already, thanks to a couple of postseason meetings. Overall, he has beaten me in six of nine games. He won our first meeting, before I won two of the next three (including the 2019 quarterfinals). Michael would go on to win the next three. In 2023, I easily beat him in our regular season matchup, but Michael got his postseason revenge, beating me in the 2023 quarterfinals.
#2 Matt Neatock – Michael has dispatched Neatock five times in six games, including the first three times they met. In those three games, Michael averaged 1,623 points per game. In their next three meetings, Michael’s squad has averaged only 1,273 points per game, yet has still won two of the three games, including the last two.
#1 Griff Coomer – So far, Evangelist has yet to taste defeat to Griff, going 6-0 against one of the league’s original members. He’s never scored lower than 1,289, producing one weekly high score and a pair of 1,700-point games. With another win this league, Michael could tie the record for longest winning streak to begin a series.
LEAST FAVORITE FOE
Michael is just 1-5 against Richard Burrier. He actually beat Rich in their first meeting back in 2019, but Burrier took a pair in 2020, including a 2020 quarterfinals game. Mike heads into 2024 having lost five straight to Rich. He’s averaged only 1,075 points per game in those five defeats.
FAVORITE POSTSEASON OPPONENT
So far, there aren’t enough games on the resume to determine a favorite playoff foe. In fact, Michael has only two career postseason wins; both coming in 2023. He beat me in the quarterfinals and is 1-1 against me for his career in the playoffs. He’s 1-0 against Jeff, after beating him in last year’s semifinals.
LEAST FAVORITE POSTSEASON OPPONENT
We’re going with Colby Hall, the only person to have two career playoff wins against Michael. Dr. Evangelist lost to Colby in the 2022 quarterfinals and then last year, he did keep it close in the finals, but he lost his second game to Colby, 1,508 – 1,408.
LONGEST WINNING STREAKS
Like I mentioned already, Michael has never lost to Griff in six tries; tied for the second best start to a head-to-head matchup.
LONGEST LOSING STREAKS
While Michael has three 2-game losing streaks to Eric, Bob and Jeff, he did lose three straight to Colby (all three defeats coming in 2022). However, his five-game slide to Burrier remains his longest for his career.

FUN FACTS
- Michael is 12-3 against Griff and myself; the only two original members left in this league.
- Mike has never scored over 1,500 against either Burrier or Eric. He’s done it against me five times.
- His childhood friend (Bob) is the team he has faced the least so far (just five games in five years).
