If you finished among the top-60, congratulations, you either won a championship or delivered an elite season that failed to deliver a mug. If your season is ranked between 61-120, be proud. You made the playoffs. You are either a average team that produced a ton of wins or a great team that couldn’t quite catch a break. If you finished 121-180, half of you probably didn’t make the playoffs and if you did, you didn’t win a postseason game. If you finished 181-224, then don’t brag.

2020 Team Rankings:
#1 Robio Murray (417.2)
How great was 2019 campaign? It not only moved me to the number spot on season rankings, it destroyed Bob’s 2015 season by nearly 57 points. Don’t understand the math? It’s a lot. Points played its part, as it remains the most important factor. I averaged 1,675 points per game, becoming the first person to top 1,600 per game in a season. I had five weekly high scores, thirteen 1,500-point games and scored the second most points ever in the postseason (5,667). The only slight blemish is the fact I failed to earn the top seed.
#8 Rich Calderon (360.4)
Rich’s 2019 becomes the greatest team to not win a championship. He technically becomes the third person to go 12-1 in a season, win the top seed, finish second in scoring, but eventually lose in the title game. The difference that puts this 12-1, top-seed season above the rest is the fact he averaged 1,550 points per game, which is the fifth most ever scored in a regular season. He had two weekly high scores, hit 1,500 a total of 10 times, including twice in the postseason and went a solid 5-2 against the elites, eventually earning his first ever top seed.
#42 Rob Masterson (276.8)
Rob delivers his third best season ever, thanks to eight wins, a 1,518 points per game average and a trip to the semifinals. While he did dip below 1,000 once, earned one weekly low score and went just 3-4 against the elite, he had two weekly high scores and eight games over 1,500. It was the fifth straight season he has earned the 4-seed.
#73 Don Vozzola (244.4)
For the third time in four seasons, Don cracks the top-100. His nine wins tied a career high, averaging 1,290 points per game. He had no weekly highs or lows, never fell below 1,000, while topping 1,500 three times. Based on the math, this was Don’s fourth best season ever. Two of his top four came in the last two seasons.
#76 Matt Neatock (245.0)
Matt’s title runs ends at two, but he still produced a solid top-75 season in 2019. He earned the 7-seed, thanks to seven wins and a 1,390 points per game average. He did only go 3-5 against the elite, scoring over 1,500 four times, while dipping below 1,000 once. However, he did reach at least the semifinals for the fifth time in his last six seasons.
#84 Bob (240.1 points)
For the 14th straight season, a Bob season cracked the top-110 of ranked seasons, turning an 0-4 start into a 7-win success story. He averaged a solid 1,425 points per game, producing two weekly high scores, including the highest scoring single game score ever. He broke 1,500 four times, never hit below 1,000. However, there was no upset in the quarterfinals, as he lost in round one for the second straight year. It’s the first time in Bob’s career he has gone two straight seasons without a playoff victory.
#126 Michael (216.2 points)
In his first season in Robioland Football, Michael can be proud with the 126th best season ever. He won seven, earning the 7-seed, averaging 1,369 points per game. He did have four games over 1,500, but went just 2-5 against the elite, failed to hit 1,000 twice, including the playoffs, earning two weekly low scores in the regular season.
#153 Eric Vozzola (190.2 points)
Eric produced a fourth straight 6-7 season, despite averaging only 1,270 points per game, his lowest points output sine 2009. After Burrier owned the 8-seed three straight seasons, Eric has taken control of the spot, earning the 8-spot in back-to-back seasons. While he did earn one weekly high score, breaking 1,500 twice, he also earned three weekly low scores, failing to hit 1,000 four times. He went just 2-7 against the elites and was eliminated in the quarterfinals. It was the 18th time in Eric’s 20-year career where he failed to earn at least one playoff victory.
#155 Jeff Greenblatt (189.4 points)
After a solid three-year run where he made it to the postseason all three years, Jeff has finished the season in ninth place in back-to-back seasons. This season, he won just five games, his lowest total since 2014, despite averaging a a decent 1,354 points per game. He even earned a weekly high score, breaking 1,500 four times. However, he also had a weekly low, failed to touch 1,000 twice and went an awful 1-7 against the elites.
#213 Griff Coomer (144.9 points)
Since winning the 2015 title, Griff seasons have finished ranked as #179, #148, #170 and now #213, which is the lowest ranking ever for him. Averaging only 1,169 points per contest, Grif won a career low three games, broke 1,500 just once and for the first time in his career, failed to earn a single win against the elites (0-7). His only saving grace is that he didn’t finish last in points.
#224 Richard Burrier (137.6 points)
Weirdly, Rich didn’t finish last in points or last in the standings, but still managed to produce his second worst season ever. He averaged 1,256 points per game, producing just two wins, tied for a career low. He had no weekly high scores, four weekly low scores, failing to top 1,000 three times, while somehow breaking 1,500 three times. He went 0-6 against the elites.
#234 Colby Hall (125.4 points)
A year after breaking the all-time regular season scoring record, Colby produced his worst season ever. His 1,154 points per game were the season’s lowest and his lowest total since 2007. His three total victories were a career low. While he dipped below 1,000 a total of four times, he had just one weekly low score and despite his three wins, two of them were against the league’s elite (2-5). Still, it was just the second time in his career that he failed to score over 1,500 in a single game.

The Formula
POINTS: The most important thing in my book is scoring…points are more important than wins. So I take your total points and divide it by 10 (Burrier scored 1,410 in 2003, so he got 141 points). If you earn the scoring title, you get ten bonus points.
WIN-LOSS: Because we have five seasons of 14 games, I don’t want them to benefit from playing more games, so what I do is subtract your loses from 13 games, what ever number you end up with, I multiple it by 10. So in 1999, I went 11-3, so I subtract by 3 loses from 13 (not 14), so I get 10×10 and that’s 100. Prior to this I did winning percentage, but no more. I wanted to give a little bit more reward for winning, although scoring is still the most important.
SEEDING: Since we eliminated divisions, I’m rewarding bonuses for seeding. If you’re the top seed, you get 8 bonus points. The second seed gets 4, the third seed gets 2 and the 4-seed gets one bonus point. You’re welcome.
HIGH’S & LOW’S: To help separate the teams, I offer rewards for the little things and knock points off for the little naughty things. You get +2 for every weekly high score and -2 for every weekly low score. In 2009, Bob had three high scores and one low score, so he got four bonus points.
1,500 & 1,000 POINTS: Scoring over 1,500 is a solid mark, while failing to hit 1,000 makes you a loser (usually). So if you score 1,500 or more in a game, you get +2 points. If you fail to hit 1,000, you lose -2 points. However, I also give you another bonus point if you hit 1,500 in the playoffs, but lose another point if you fail to hit 1,000 in the post-season. In 2002, I got ten 1,500-pt games (three were in the post-season) and two low scores, so I got 23 bonus points for the 1,500, but lost four for the games below 1,000.
TOP HALF: One last bonus prize…I reward you for beating the best of the best. I take your record against the top-six (based on points) in the league. If you win two more games than you lose, you get two points. If you go 6-2 against the elite, you get +4 points. Molly went 5-2 in 2002 against the elite, so she got three points. However, if you don’t do well, I do not punish you. So when Don in 2001 went 1-6, he just got zero.
PLAYOFF POINTS: Basically what I’ve done to increase the importance of the post-season, I take what you scored in the post-season and divide it by 10. So if you lose in the first round, but score well, you’ll get more points if you score shit. Masterson scored 1,709 in a first-round loss this season. He got 17.9 for this, while Eric also lost, but he got 10.3 (for scoring 1,029). So that’s it. If you go to the semis, you get two weeks worth of points and if you go to the finals, you get three weeks worth of points. Lastly, if you win it all, you still get that 20-point bonus.
